Authorized health care providers, public health agencies, pharmacies, or laboratories can configure their EMR/EHR system to send evidence of their patient’s vaccination or test result to Cert.Health. Information can be sent via HL7 2.5, C-CDA, or FHIR.

Cert.Health will send the provider a QR code that contains a link to a verifiable certificate.

Cert.Health will issue a health certificate to the patient that contains pertinent information regarding the vaccination or test result.

What healthcare providers can participate?
Any authorized health care providers, public health agencies, pharmacies, or laboratories that registers to be a part of our system can configure their EMR/EHR system to send evidence of their patient’s vaccination or test result to Cert.Health.
What data points will we be required to provide?

FOR IMMUNIZATIONS:
In order to generate the certificate, we need the person’s name, DOB, the date they received the vaccine, the name of the healthcare provider that administered it, the type of vaccine, and the vaccine manufacturer.

FOR LAB RESULTS:
In order to generate the certificate, we need the person’s name, DOB, the test name, the date the test was performed, the name of the healthcare provider that performed it, and the and the results.

What is the cost to participate?

Cert.Health does not charge Providers.  Cert.Health charges Verifiers for the services of verifying the Patient’s data on their behalf.

What about HIPPA compliance?
As part of the onboarding process, Cert.Health will execute a Business Associate Agreement with your organization. A Sample BAA can be found on our Provider portal. Custom BAAs can be negotiated as needed by your organization. Cert.Health also provides a Privacy Policy and Consent Form and a for your patients to acknowledge and sign. Our business associate agreement with you will require that you keep a copy of the patient’s signed consent in your records for a period of time (varies from state to state). Verifiers are also required to sign BAAs (as a subcontractor) with Cert.Health.
How will this integrate with our existing EMR?

Most integrations are done using an integration engine that works with HL7 messages. Examples include any listed here, but this list is not comprehensive.

How do we provide the certificate to the patient?

The certificate does not need to be provided to the Patient by the Provider.  The certifcate information will be emailed to the patient at the email address we will provide 2 options.

Will we be required to store the certificates in our EMR?

No.  The certificate will be stored in the cloud and accessed at the patient’s direction at time of verification. 

Do you provide integration services?

We can certainly point you in the right direction when it comes to integrating systems.  We are partnered with FHIRFLY, a leading provider of HL7 software and services.
